How to review an article?

The different options to review an article are described here. Adding a comment in Hubspot should be used only when a few small changes are requested. In any other case use a Google document for the review.

To use this option you can simply enable the edit mode, select the part of the article on which you want to provide your feedback and click on the Add a comment pop-up. Add your comment, tagging the person responsible for this article, and send it. To tag the reviewer, you just use @ and his email address.

Review of a new article using a Google doc

After drafting of a new article is completed, this has to be handed over to a reviewer (support member) by following the steps below:

  • Create a Google document under the Knowledge Base folder
  • Name the document after the article's title
  • Summarize the goal of the new article on the top of the document
  • Add a link to the article
  • Copy the content in the Google document
  • Notify the reviewer and send him a link to the document. If there is no assigned reviewer, ask for review in the support group
  • Feedback can be given in the form of comments or suggestions

When the review is completed the reviewer notifies the author that some changes have been requested. As soon as author and reviewer are in agreement, the author can publish the article.

Review of an existing article

Every change in an existing, published article will be online as soon as the update button on the right top corner is clicked. For typos and grammatical errors, this is a good option.

However, when a review is required before publishing the new content, the following workflow should be followed:

  • Create a Google document under the Knowledge Base folder
  • Name the document after the articles' title
  • Summarize the main changes on the top of the document
  • Add link to the article
  • Copy the current content in the document
  • Update the content in the doc, using suggesting mode
  • Notify the reviewer and send him a link to the document. If there is no assigned reviewer, ask for review in the support group
  • If the reviewer agrees with the changes, he can accept the suggestions; additional feedback can be given in the form of comments
  • When the review is complete, the author updates the article online
