      Early battery warning when flying in assisted hover

      The displayed battery percentage has improved and behaves more realistically since 1.11. Warnings and RTH are triggered when the voltage dips below a certain threshold. The threshold depends on the altitude above sea level, the distance to home, the wind speed, the transition height, and the health state of the batteries.

       

      The percentage is based on the remaining battery capacity.

      While hovering in assisted mode, this voltage threshold is currently overly-conservative. For this reason, customers will get a warning that landing is advised. This was fixed with 1.14.

      The current plan is to make the voltage threshold dependent on the distance to the ground.
