How to release, label and track WID?

The WID can be given to the end-customer only after Wingtra approves it. Each WID product will have a physical “WID label” informing the distributor this product is a Wingtra Inventory.

The WID can be:

  • Wing Only - Including telemetry and spare pitot tube but excluding pilot box (and all its contents): SKU WIN-EMP
  • RX1 + mount: SKU RX1-ADD
  • QX1 + mount: SKU QX1-ADD
  • PPK module: SKU PPK ADD

Important notes:

  • WID units are no more bundles
  • Each product is going to be packed and shipped separately: If creating one shipment with multiple WID products please make sure you add separate products on a product list

How are  WID units packed and labelled?

  • WID stickers are placed as follows:
    • Wing (3 stickers per item):
      • Two (2) on the card box
      • One (1) sticker on the packaging foil next to the shipping documents (waybill and proforma invoices)
      • Payload (3 stickers per item):
        • One (1) sticker on the payload box
        • Two (2) on the cardboard (one on card box; the second nearby the shipping documents)

CS process for the existing and bundled WID units:

Each CS manager has to approach their assigned reseller who owns the WID unit and confirm/communicate the following:

    1. Explain changes on the WID process (share the link to the KB article)
    2. Confirm existing WID plane ID
    3. Check/ confirm which WID payloads are currently bundled together with the wing
    4. Ask for the serial numbers of the payloads and populate drone properties:
    5. Organise shipment of the empty payload cases and make sure you set up the following:
      1. Shipment type: Wingtra Inventory at the distributor
      2. Insert note to the comment field: Payload case for the WID payloads + Add 2 stickers + 1 label tag (per existing wing).
        1. Note: If your assigned reseller has two WID wings you will change the comment to 'Add 4 stickers + 2 label tags')
      6. Give clear instructions on where to put stickers and label tag:
          1. 2 stickers should be on the card box
          2. Label tag should be attached to the drivetrain
          3. Payload cases will be shipped with stickers and label tag so there is no need for action here

        7. Ask the distributor to take an image of disassembled WID products with label tag attached to the drivetrain and payloads in the WID payload boxes.

        8. Make sure you have unchecked the payloads from the Wingtra Unit in the inventory database.
