To develop a UAV system that meets the high standards of our users, Wingtra continues to work with the best in the industry. We’ve partnered with companies like Sony and Micasense who have contributed to equipping our users with best-in-class payloads. However, it isn't as simple as just acquiring products from our suppliers. All the items we add to our platform go through a rigorous process of quality control and integration, so they can work seamlessly with the WingtraOne/WingtraOne GEN II.
As such, purchasing alternative, ad-hoc solutions directly from our partners, or using alternative brands that approximate our technical specs, can lead to problems with the product compatibility and quality. Here, we take a deeper look into why you'll achieve the most success if you work with us for the products that you need.

Issues of quality control and integration
As mentioned, the products we get from our suppliers are not used right out of the box. They go through extensive quality control and integration processes. We want to make sure that when we finally ship them to you, they are functioning as intended and are configured in a way that best maximizes the abilities of your WingtraOne/WingtraOne GEN II.
As an example, all of our cameras are sent to our users with default settings based on hundreds of tests done by our engineering team. Through the data that they've gathered, we’ve determined the exact settings that will help you capture high-quality images that translate well to photogrammetric post-processing and other applications. When you instead purchase off-the-shelf items from Amazon or some other provider, you run the risk of using products with non-ideal settings, and this may lead to data issues down the line.
Apart from product settings, we also add accessory parts to facilitate the integration with the WingtraOne. Our payload kits, for instance, come with various cables and adapters to make them immediately ready for installation when they get to you. This doesn’t happen if you get them elsewhere. Often, you will need to purchase additional adapters and other parts just to get items from another vendor to work with the system. This makes the process unnecessarily complicated and may end up being more expensive than our completely prepared kits and parts.
Warranty and support implications
There is also the question of warranty. In Wingtra's warranty statement, users are reminded not to use parts and equipment that are modified and non-standard, because doing so voids your claim. It also makes it difficult for us to support you when you stumble into issues, because we will have to diagnose parts that our team did not run through established quality control and testing procedures.
