Your local sales contact will support you in your options to upgrade to GEN II
Option 1: Purchase a new drone bundle
If you want to profit from the newest generation WingtraOne and it's new payload offering, the preferred option for most of our customers is to purchase a complete new system. This gives you additional flexibility in your drone operations as you can operate both systems at the same time.
Option 2: Purchase a GEN II wing and empty mounts to transfer your GEN I camera and accessories
If you are short on budget for a new purchase, we can support you with the right parts to upgrade your GEN I system to GEN II. We offer the required equipment for all GEN I configurations.
This upgrade path includes some manual work from your side to port the camera to the new mount. Furthermore, you will not profit from the newest accessories like the new Tab Active 3 or the better organised pilot box. And the old drone will be deactivated after the upgrade is done.
What happens to my PPK under option 2?
The GEN II wing comes equipped with the PPK hardware and unlocking of the PPK happens with a PPK software license.
You get the GEN II PPK license for free if you ship back the PPK hardware of your GEN I system to us. If you had the RX1 PPK license, you will get the unlimited license; if you had the QX1 PPK license, you will get the a6100 license. If you want to unlock additional PPK licenses (Oblique, Altum, RedEdge-MX, RX1), we will only invoice the price difference to the new license.
What exactly do I need to purchase under option 2?
To upgrade the system to GEN II, you will need:
- A GEN II Wing for USD 10k (local prices apply)
- A payload upgrade
- For RX1: An RX1 upgrade mount for USD 2k (local prices apply)
- For QX1: An a6100 payload for USD 2.2k (local prices apply)
- For Altum: An Altum upgrade mount for USD 2k (local prices apply)
