Translating sales and marketing materials into other languages

Here's how you can translate marketing materials into a local language if needed.

Translate and maintain translations

Wingtra's marketing material is regularly updated. So keep in mind that beyond the initial translation, you should review the translation on a regular basis (e.g., once a year) or at least when major product updates are released.

Translator
You translate the documents yourself, or you hire the translator of your choice.

Output (for PDFs)
You will receive the final document as high-resolution PDF for printing and/or as lower-resolution web PDF if needed. You are then free to source a local provider for printing.

Currently available for translation:

  • Quickstart guide for GEN II
  • Tech specs for GEN II
  • Brochure for GEN II
  • Subtitles for GEN II basic and advanced training videos

    The process:

    • Check on the Google drive if the translation already exists.
    • If it doesn't exist, send a request to david.perroud@wingtra.com and let us know:
      - What marketing material should be translated
      - What language(s) you need it in
      - Who will translate and review the translation (provide this person's email address)
      - Any specific deadline
    • We will review the request and give the translator access to the translation platform (Redokun).
    • You or your translator will log into the platform and translate all the text strings.

Make sure there are no spelling mistakes at this point, if needed let it review by another person.

      1. Once the translation is complete, the Wingtra marketing team will download the text strings into the original document and send you a PDF file.
      2. If you want to print the material, you can look for a local printing company. The Wingtra marketing team will provide the technical specifications for printing.

      FAQ

Wingtra does not provide original files (Adobe InDesign files), but uses a translation platform (Redokun).

What are the advantages of using a translation platform over translating original Adobe inDesign files directly?

      • You/the translator do not need to know how to use graphics tools such as Adobe InDesign.
      • The translation platform features a translation memory. This means that every paragraph of the document and the corresponding translation are saved. This saves a lot of time, hassle and cost when translating revisions of the same documents.
      • Wingtra can perform quality control on the marketing material before it is issued.
