Known issue: loose capacitor
This article explains how to verify that the drivetrain capacitor is broken.
Symptoms
There is a loose object in the WingtraOne, causing a rattling sound. To check this, hold the WingtraOne from the motors and rotate it around its vertical axes, like in the video:
If the sound is similar to the one in the video, it is very likely that the drivetrain capacitor has fallen inside the wing.
What happened?
The capacitor, part of the motor mount, responsible for filtering of voltage peaks, fell of the drivetrain. WingtraOne can still continue flying in the meantime until receiving a new PAIR of the drivetrain. Always replace the complete pair even if only one drivetrain is affected.
How to resolve?
- Remove the object from the wing and send us the photo of the drivetrain and the object. There are several ways to do it as described in this article: How to get a trapped object out of a wing.
- Replace both drivetrains, following the instructions in this article: Replace the power unit.
