This article explains how multinational companies shall we handled in Hubspot.
Multinational companies such as Cemex or LafargeHolcim have employees around the world. Typically, these corporations are organized nationally and can not be viewed as one single company. However, multinational corporations have the same domain for all their employees and are therefore automatically viewed as one company by Hubspot (regardless of different countries of the contacts). Once one national entity is becoming a customer, the whole company will become a customer although only a specific country has bought a drone.
Parent/child companies
What we have to do in that case, is to create child companies per country.
- Create a company with [name] [country], i.e. "Lafarge Canada" or "Lafarge Philippines".
- Add it as a child company to the main company (typically where the head quarters is)

- Re-assign the respective contacts and drones from each country to the correct child
- Assign the right "Assigned reseller" per company.
- Add the assigned reseller of the country where the child company is operating.
- If the parent company is operational in a specific country assign the respective reseller.
- If there is no reseller interacting with neither the parent nor the child, do not assign/remove any reseller.
- Set the correct lifecycle stage per country
- i.e. not all Lafarge companies are a customer
There is no automatic warning that there is a multinational company. Please, be attentive when creating companies that are present in different countries.
